The Walt Disney Company announced the launch of its global “Create 100” campaign on July 27.
The campaign is a worldwide celebration of creativity in honor of Disney’s 100th anniversary, with the goal of inspiring and supporting the next generation of talent.
In addition, we donate art, items, and experiences created through the connection between Disney’s work and the world’s artists in various fields and the next generation of talent. Support Make-A-Wish, which supports the life-changing wishes of children battling serious illnesses.
To kick off the campaign, the company partnered with Virgil Abloh Securities to unveil the art at the Royal College of Art in London. The “Structural Sorcerer – a Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Sculpture,” a 6-foot sculpture of Mickey the Wizard’s apprentice from the Disney film “Fantasia,” was unveiled.
Artwork and items will be unveiled later this summer. Beyonce, Christian Louboutin, Tommy Hilfiger, and others will participate in the celebration, and global partners such as adidas, Pandora, and Coach will offer one-of-a-kind pieces.
In addition, fashion designer NIGO, art director Yuni Yoshida, and graphic artist VERDY will participate from Japan in the next generation artist slot. They will create special works.
Both Disney and Make-A-Wish have a history of granting more than 150,000 children’s wishes over the past 40 years. They support studio visits, theme park and resort experiences, and many Disney cast members also volunteer their time.
