History of Ikebukuro and Toshima through dioramas This is a re-edited section of the “Toshima Grand Exposition,” which was held at the Toshima City History Museum until May to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the ward’s incorporation, focusing on the area around Ikebukuro Station. Visitors can look back on the history of Ikebukuro with an annual report and a diorama created by Mr. Takaki Yamamoto, which depicts the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Seibu Railway Line: From the Showa Era to the Future Seibu Railway’s collection of about 30 items is on display. Station signboards, train destination information boards, and parts of freight electric locomotives are a must-see for railroad fans, and it is interesting to compare photos of station buildings collected mainly from the Ikebukuro Line in the 1950s and 1960s with the current scenery.
