Fire-King Japan released “Fire-King Stacking Mug Oswald the Lucky Rabbit [Disney100 OSWALD]” on August 3, commemorating Disney’s 100th anniversary.
Two designs are available and will be sold at the official online store and the online store HIKIDASHI STORE.
The Fire-King brand was founded in 1941 in Anchor Hocking, Lancaster, Ohio, USA. While loved as restaurantware and advertising mugs, milk glass items were discontinued in 1986.
In 2011, Fire-King Japan reissued the recipe based on the company’s own recipe. Today, each piece is handmade in Japan by glass artisans.
Celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary, the new stacking mugs come in two colors: milk white and light ivory. The milk white mug features “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” posing with a silk hat and stick and playing a musical instrument.
Light Ivory depicts the words WALT DISNEY STUDIOS and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in a mischievous appearance that seems to have jumped off the screen together.
Both have the Disney100 and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit logos. Capacity is approximately 215 mL, with sizes 87 x 103 x 77 (H x W x top mouth diameter).
