JR Kyushu has announced its operation plan for August 9 due to the approach of Typhoon No. 6.
The Kyushu Shinkansen will operate normally between Hakata and Kumamoto Stations, but the service between Kumamoto and Kagoshima Chuo Stations will be suspended from the first departure. For the West Kyushu Shinkansen, trains bound for Takeo Onsen will operate until the Kamome No. 14 departs from Nagasaki Station at 9:14 a.m., and trains bound for Nagasaki will operate until the Kamome No. 9 departs from Takeo Onsen at 9:23 a.m.
Conventional lines are suspended from the first departure to the end of the day in a wide area, mainly in southern Kyushu, and many lines in the north have announced plans to suspend operations from around 8:00 p.m.
