Kuratsugu will grand open its second “Kamakura Kokon” restaurant, “Sengokubara Kokon” (1245-280 Sengokubara, Hakone-cho, Ashigarashita-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture) in mid-January 2024.
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Palace Hotel Hakone bus stop and a 25-minute drive from Gotemba Station and the Gotemba Interchange on the Tomei Expressway, respectively. Free transportation for guests is also planned.
All rooms are equipped with Owakudani hot spring, sauna, and water bath, and the large public bath offers a half-open-air hot spring and medicinal herb bath with a view of a box garden.
The facility will also feature Restaurant COCON, a restaurant where visitors can enjoy the chef’s creative cuisine based on the theme of local production for local consumption. The open-kitchen style of the restaurant is said to create a live atmosphere that cannot be found in everyday life. The plan including dinner and breakfast is for two persons and can be reserved by non-guests.
Reservations for lodging and restaurants will be accepted on the official website starting in September.
