Here are the rooms we stayed in! We also took a walk in the beautiful garden. The room we used was a standard twin room on the top three floors. The room was decorated in calm dark colors, with a slightly protruding window from which I could admire the beautiful trees as if they were paintings. I sighed and thought how happy I would be if I could spend the whole day here reading a book or just lounging around. It would also be nice in the fall when the mountains are colored with autumn leaves. I was told that there is a pond called “Larch Pond” at the bottom of the private garden and that the view from there is also wonderful, so I went outside right away. The beautifully landscaped garden was very quiet, and all I could hear was the chirping of birds. People were relaxing on benches, couples were taking a stroll, and the time was passing slowly on the plateau. The quietness and coolness of the garden made me feel as if I had entered another world!
A refreshing morning welcomed in the forest, with a fresh newspaper distribution service! Breakfast buffet includes oyaki (a Japanese snack) At Tateshina Tokyu Hotel, newspapers were distributed from under the entrance door in the morning. It is not often that I have the opportunity to stay at a hotel that offers this kind of service, so it was very refreshing! I have good memories of this summer of the morning time when I slowly read the newspaper over a cup of coffee. For breakfast, we went to the Italian restaurant “La Corta” in Tokyu Harvest Club Tateshina. Located at an elevation of 1,366 meters above Tateshina Tokyu Hotel, this restaurant offers a panoramic view of the Yatsugatake Mountains. A buffet breakfast is available here.
