JR Tokai announced the operation plan of the Tokaido Shinkansen (Tokyo Station – Shin-Osaka Station) due to the approach of Typhoon No. 7.
Heavy rain and strong winds are expected along the line, and depending on the path and force of the typhoon, there is a possibility of planned service suspension or sudden suspension of operations for a certain period from August 13 to 16.
There are already many reservations for the days before and after the planned shutdown period (12th or 17th), and it may be impossible to obtain a reserved seat. The company also urges passengers to change their itineraries and pay attention to future typhoon information, as unreserved seats are also expected to be crowded.
