Tottori Prefecture is holding various support projects until September 30 to commemorate the release of the movie “SAND LAND,” based on the manga artist Akira Toriyama’s novel.
At the announcement event held on August 5 at the Tottori Sand Dunes, Governor Shinji Hirai of Tottori Prefecture appeared dressed as Beelzebub, the main character of the film, and the desert people. He introduced a word rally around the dunes and a present campaign for movie ticket stubs under the catchphrase “This is Tottori Prefecture, the ‘SAND LAND’ of Japan.
During the period, five collaborative menus will be sold at the restaurant “Momotenashiie” on the second floor of the antenna store “Tottori-Oyama Shinbashikan” (1-11-7 Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo).
The menu includes a blue curry inspired by the “Phantom Fountain,” a pink curry the same color as Beelzebub, and sweets made with strawberries from Tottori Prefecture called “Tottooki” in abundance.
