Nagoya Railroad will open a “Virtual Meitetsu Nagoya Station” on the Planeta metaverse app from August 25 to September 3. Admission is free, but membership registration on the app is required.
This service is aimed at railroad fans, and allows visitors to experience the feeling of being in a station through scanned images of the station interior and rolling stock.
Three unique activities will also be offered. Visitors will be able to enjoy the “DJ Booth Guide Experience,” in which they will earn points by correctly completing an announcement from the station’s actual driver’s cab (known as the “DJ Booth”) within a certain time frame; the “Lost Station” Story Collect, in which they will search for Meitetsu trivia hidden in the station premises; and the “Meitetsu Library,” a collection of Meitetsu-related materials.
Free trial sessions will also be held at TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Meitetsu Nagoya on August 26 and 27.
