Kitakyushu City, Kitakyushu Rapid Transit, Kanmon Kisen, Chikuho Electric Railway, Nishitetsu Bus Kita-Kyushu, Hokkyu Nishitetsu Taxi, and Nishitetsu Bus Chikuho will jointly hold a free day for public transportation services operating in the city.
The dates are September 3, October 8, and November 5. Nishitetsu Bus, City Bus, Kitakyushu Monorail, Chikuho Dentetsu, and Kanmon Kisen are eligible for the program, while JR, highway buses, and city-operated ferry services (Wakado and Kokura routes) are not.
On September 3, there will be summer horse races at JRA Kokura Racecourse and a flea market at Kokura Castle; on October 8, the Autumn Fan Appreciation Festival at Tozunomori Park and Mojiko Banachan Festival; and on November 5, Festival Entrepreneurship Festival Yahata and Chikuzen Kiyase Yakuba Festival.
