In commemoration of the special exhibition “100 Years after the Great Kanto Earthquake: Surviving the Great Disaster,” Yokohama Port Opening Museum, in cooperation with Yokohama Rapid Transit, will sell originally designed one-day tickets for the Minatomirai Line for a limited time. The price is 460 yen for adults.
The original ticket can be used not only to visit Yokohama Port Opening Museum, but also to visit sightseeing spots in Yokohama such as Yamashita Park Street, Motomachi Shopping Street, and Yokohama Chinatown. The design on the ticket features a postcard from the collection of Yokohama Port Opening Museum, which was completed after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
The facility is said to serve as a “memory device of modern Yokohama,” passing on the city’s history to the next generation through its materials.
