Nakae Architects will open its first sushi auberge in Hokuriku, “HITOTSU NOTOJIMA” (42-4 Notojima Suso-cho, Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture), on September 4.
Dinner is a sushi course that makes the most of Noto’s high quality ingredients under the supervision of Koji Mitsukawa, the proprietor of Sushi Mitsukawa, which has its main restaurant in Kanazawa. Breakfast is also served with a menu that incorporates local production for local consumption.
The eight guest rooms, all with ocean views, are modern in design and have tatami mats on the floor for a relaxing atmosphere. Two of the rooms have their own saunas, and the hotel is also equipped with a private spa with a wood-fired sauna overlooking Nanao Bay. Visitors can relax in the fragrant herbal bath and the water bath cooled to the proper temperature.
The fee structure is all-inclusive, including beverages in the bar lounge and guest rooms, and alcohol at dinner, allowing guests to enjoy local sake, beer, wine, and cocktails made with local fruits and vegetables without hesitation.
The special opening price for stays during September is 76,380 yen per night with two meals, a 10% discount from the usual price. Reservations can be made through the official website.
