This time, we asked a representative of Walt Disney Imagineering, a group of creators who plan and design attractions, about the “Peter Pan’s Neverland” area from the Peter Pan movie, about their specialties.

Oriental Land Co. has opened the construction site of its large-scale Tokyo DisneySea development, Fantasy Springs, to the press for the first time. The new theme port, Tokyo DisneySea’s eighth, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2024.

Lost kids feel like lost kids on a big adventure! Ride on a flying boat and battle with Captain Hook and his pirates!

Peter Pan’s Neverland will consist of two attractions and one restaurant. David Edminster, who is in charge of the area, told us about the attraction Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure, “Tinkerbell’s Pixie Dust, and the boat that guests ride in is a flying boat!” He told us.

He said that he is going on an adventure as a member of the Lost Kids to rescue Wendy’s brother John, and that there will be battles with Captain Hook and the pirates along the way. The film also “uses images and impressive music from the 1953 film. This is the 3D type that can be enjoyed with goggles. He said, “I am proud of how far we have come. I look forward to the guests’ enjoyment.

Also featured is the Lookout Cookout restaurant next door. The restaurant, made from wreckage found on the beach and composed of various parts, features dynamic shapes such as a large ship turned upside down.

In addition, the area was filled with recreations of scenes from the movie, “to make it clear that this is the Neverland where the Lost Kids are. Also, “there are several games that they played throughout Neverland that guests can enjoy,” he said during the walk-through.
