Hawaii Local] Hotels after the Rush of Renovations. Restaurants & Bars are the center of attention!

Posted on 2023-08-312023-08-31 by Editor in Chief

Walking around Waikiki, you will see new buildings being constructed, hotels being renovated, and as ever since the pandemic, construction is continuing. Many hotels have already reopened and renewed, not only the rooms, but also the restaurants and bars, which is quite nice! Some bars are open only to hotel guests, while others are open to everyone, so I would like to introduce some of the dining and bars that have been wonderfully transformed.

Twin Finn Waikiki’s “Coconut Club”

The Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, located closest to Diamond Head on Kalakaua Avenue, completed a major multi-million dollar renovation and grand opened in November 2022 with a new name, Twin Fins Waikiki.

The Coconut Club is a dining experience that takes full advantage of this location. As soon as you enter (or rather, as you exit, as if you are heading out), you are greeted by a spectacular view of Waikiki, a world-class resort. The blue gradation of the ocean, the surfers floating in the blue, and the wide blue sky stretching endlessly beyond.

If you look to the right, you can also see the Waikiki hotels from above.

In fact, this is currently a dining room where you can enjoy breakfast only. It is sure to be a wonderful day if you enjoy this beautiful view from the morning.

The breakfast menu includes a choice of Kahlua Pork Benedict, Bacon and Egg Cheese Croissant with large hash browns, and Pig Greek Yogurt Parfait. Fruit and donuts are buffet style. Coffee is also self-serve and several types can be made with one touch, including cappuccino.

The panoramic view and breakfast are worth staying at this hotel to enjoy the pleasant experience. The hotel rooms have been renovated, and although not spectacular, they are casual and scenic, and at $239/night and up (depending on the time of year), I think they are a good value. The hotel also offers free beach goods rentals every day during your stay, which is said to be very popular.

Twinfin Waikiki and its affiliated hotels, including the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, will donate $10 per hotel reservation to the Highgate Charitable Foundation, whose goal is to raise $1 million for families in need following the Maui fires. For every hotel reservation, the hotel donates $10 to the Highgate Charitable Foundation.
