Posted on 2023-09-032023-09-03 by Editor in Chief

Tokyu Corporation will conduct a verification experiment of credit card touch payment and QR code boarding service from August 30, 2012.

The applicable tickets are unlimited-ride tickets sold through the Q SKIP digital ticket service, which requires membership registration on the website and credit card payment in advance. The Q SKIP website is scheduled to open on August 30, and a cash-back campaign will be held from August 30 to October 31, offering half of the purchase price (up to 2,000 yen) if the payment is made with a credit card issued by Tokyu Card.

At the time of service launch, the service is only available on the Denentoshi and Setagaya lines. On the Denentoshi Line, passengers can board by holding their card or smartphone over the reader of the automatic ticket gate, and on the Setagaya Line, they can board by presenting the screen displayed after purchase to the attendant.

In the future, Q SKIP plans to install compatible ticket gate machines at each station on the Railway Line, including the Kodomonokuni Line, by the end of FY2024, and on the Setagaya Line, reading devices will be installed on trains and at ticket gates. There are also plans to handle Q SEAT seat reservation tickets at Q SKIP.
