On September 6, Jalan released “A World Apart, Ranking the Best Scenery to See in Autumn! September is the time of year when you can see many autumnal landscapes such as seasonal flowers and autumn leaves. The top 10 spots on the list are from a dam that will make you forget the lingering summer heat to a beach selected as one of the best 100 sunsets in Japan, and are located all over the country. The survey covered 1,035 people in their 20s to 50s living in Japan.

No. 2: Niyodo River (Kochi Prefecture) The Niyodo River, which flows through the center of Kochi Prefecture, is known as “Niyodo Blue” for its clear blue color. The river has been ranked No. 1 eight times in the 10 years since 2010 in a nationwide survey of water quality in first-class rivers conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and there are spectacular blue spots in the upper reaches of the river.

No. 4: Shimizu Keiryu Hiroba (Chiba Prefecture) A spot where sunlight shines like a spotlight into a cave with a small waterfall running through it, reflecting off the surface of the water and forming a horizontal heart shape. The heart shape looks especially beautiful early in the morning around the equinoxes in March and September.
