Cab app “GO” offers a new feature that allows users to send tips to cab drivers. Started first in Tokyo and Kanagawa.

The GO cab app (Android/iOS version) has launched a new feature that allows users to send tips to the driver when using “GO Pay” in advance for dispatch orders in Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture.

Introduced in response to many comments that the opportunity for crew members to receive tips has decreased due to the spread of cashless payment. The company plans to gradually expand the areas where the service is available.

To use the system, select a tip on the evaluation screen after boarding the bus when using “GO Pay”. The amount can be selected from 200 yen, 500 yen, and 1,000 yen, and can be operated within 24 hours after getting off the bus. However, the 1,000 yen option is only available when the total amount paid is 1,000 yen or more.

The tip selected by the user is given to the individual crew member as points (1 point = 1 yen) after deducting an amount equivalent to the actual cost of handling fees for payment and transfer of the tip.
