JAL Group has decided to make some changes to its route flight plan for domestic routes in the second half of FY2023.
From October 29, HAC will be the operator of the Shin-Chitose-Akita route and will operate the route as the Okadama-Akita route in order to expand the network between Hokkaido and Tohoku, starting from Sapporo and Okadama located in Sapporo City.
The number of round-trip flights on the Fukuoka – Shin-Chitose route will be increased from two to three per day. In addition to improving the convenience of the schedule, the company intends to capture strong tourism demand.
In addition, the Boeing 777-200ER, which entered service in August 2002, will be retired on November 12 after 21 years of operation with JAL as a scheduled domestic flight. The final flight will be JL916 on the Naha-Tokyo route. JAL is considering holding events and charter flights in conjunction with the retirement.
