The Japan RV Association (JRVA) has certified 12 new “RV Park” facilities for overnight stays, including RV Park YOSHIKAWA BASE in Shiga and CamPark in Nagano. RV Parks” are facilities that meet certain conditions for comfortable and secure overnight stays in a vehicle. Currently, there are more than 350 RV parks in various regions, adjacent to facilities such as hot springs, Japanese-style inns, roadside stations, and amusement parks.
RV Park YOSHIKAWA BASE This facility offers boat tours looking up at the Lake Biwa Bridge and a fishing experience. At the cafe run by a female fisherwoman from Lake Biwa, visitors can taste maki maki sausages made with carp, pork, and secret spices. The facility is equipped with 24-hour restrooms, a dump station, power and water supply, and a dog run. There is also a nearby bathing facility. Garbage disposal support, pets, side awnings, and tables outside of vehicles are also available. In addition, an opening campaign is being held until the end of November. First-time visitors only will receive one ticket for 1,000 yen off and a bag of natural shijimi clams from Lake Biwa. Location: 2281-12 Yoshikawa, Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture
