On October 18, New Balance Japan will release a new vivid brute green color from the WRPD Runner, a new model that combines lifestyle and running technology with fashion and conceptual design.
It will be available at the official New Balance online store, New Balance Harajuku, and some other stores that carry the product. The price is 22,000 yen.
The Word Planner dares to distort the iconic design of the traditional New Balance and incorporates the modern running technology of FuelCell, a lifestyle shoe and a midsole with excellent resilience. The company says it incorporates traditional design with futuristic elements.
The upper features an oval shape, following New Balance’s iconic running design. The medial stability post, which features a hardened material inside the midfoot and prevents the foot from collapsing inward when landing, also provides stability. The warped outsole design wraps around the midsole with a wavy tread pattern.
