Air Closet, a monthly fashion rental service provider, launched “Disney FASHION CLOSET,” a rental service for Disney items, on October 12.
The pay-as-you-go service starts at 5,700 yen per rental (excluding shipping charges). Rental periods can be selected from 3 days/2 nights to 8 days/7 nights. Pickup can be arranged by date and time, and groups can order up to 10 cords at once; for orders of 2 or more cords, delivery is made in batches. After use, the rental can be easily returned from a convenience store with a QR code, with no washing required.
The first phase of the project is called “Bound Codes” for 20-somethings, which are character-inspired sets that add character elements to personal clothing. Renters can choose from sets inspired by nine characters, including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Belle from “Beauty and the Beast,” and Jasmine from “Aladdin.
All rental items are completely original and can only be worn by users of the “Disney FASHION CLOSET”. In addition to charging per rental, users can also choose to purchase the items (scheduled to start this winter).
The launch of this service is partly due to the fact that users do not have time to search for coordinates amid the popularity of bound coordinates, and also to solve the problem of clothes purchased in the closet that are only worn once and then left to sleep or thrown away.
