Sauna & Spa Hotel Kisuke no Yado Matsuyama Ekimae Branch to open in spring 2024; capsule hotel with two hot springs

Kisuke will open “Sauna & Spa Hotel Kisuke no Yado Matsuyama Ekimae” (4 Miyata-cho, Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture) in spring 2024.

Opened on the second floor area of Kisuke BOX, an entertainment facility located about 10 minutes by car from Dogo Onsen, the hotel features a natural hot spring where guests can enjoy two sources of hot spring water and the “Iyo no Yujijo Kisuke no Yu” sauna, which was awarded the number one sauna in Japan in “Sauna Ranking 2023” and also offers one of the largest rock baths on Shikoku for men. The hotel will be a capsule hotel exclusively for men, with the largest bedrock bath in Shikoku available. The hot spring, sauna, bedrock bath, and parking fees will all be offered as an all-in package, making it possible to stay at the hotel at a reasonable price.

The capsule bed has a 3D fiber high resilience mat. They are pressure-resistant, breathable, and improve the quality of sleep. Each room is equipped with a large-screen TV, and the rooms are said to be soundproof and well insulated.

The aroma water used in the self-laulu is made from tea from Shingu Village, a tea-producing region in Ehime. During the automatic self-laulu, which is held once every 30 minutes, the sauna stones “Onimaru” and “Onitama,” made of Kikuma tiles, are sprayed with the aroma water, filling them with high-temperature steam. In addition, hot air from one of the industry’s largest blowers raises the temperature to 100 degrees Celsius.

There are two types of natural hot springs: I spring, which is rich in minerals, and Ni- spring, which has a high alkaline content that is expected to exfoliate the skin and make it beautiful.

At the adjoining restaurant “Hana Yurari,” visitors can enjoy assorted sashimi, jakoten (fish cake), and “tai-meshi” (sea bream rice), a typical dish from the Seto Inland Sea. For sauna lovers, a wide variety of “sa-meshi” (rice with sausage) has also been lined up.
