Keio Electric Railway will release “Hachiko 100th Birthday Commemorative Tickets,” limited to a total of 1,000 sets, on November 11.
In addition to one D-type “Inokashira Odekake Ticket” and two regular tickets, the set includes “Hachiko 100-year Story” and “Message from Shibuya Stationmaster” on the theme of Shibuya Station that has walked together with Hachiko, and a mount (two folded A5 size) with photos of the old and new Shibuya Station and old and new trains.
Commemorative tickets for the four railroad companies that serve Shibuya Station (JR East, Tokyu Corporation, Tokyo Metro, and Keio Corporation) will be sold as a set (4,000 yen), with 700 sets going on sale in advance from November 11 in front of the Midori-no Madoguchi at the west exit of JR Shibuya Station. The ticket will be sold at the information counter at the central ticket gate of Shibuya Station on the Keio Inokashira Line, and 300 sets will be available from November 12. The tickets are valid only on the day of use from November 11 to March 31, 2024.
From October 25 to December 29, a “Hachiko 100th Birthday Commemorative Head Mark” train (1000 series, one train) will be operated on all Keio Inokashira Line lines.
