Tokyo Kyushu Ferry, a member of the SHK Line group, has launched a 3-day/2-night tour to enjoy fugu dinner in Shimonoseki and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine in Fukuoka. Applications are accepted through Club Tourism.
On board the Tokyo-Kyushu Ferry, which operates between Yokosuka and Shin Moji, capsule-type beds with private space are available. In addition, passengers can relax in the large open-air bath and planetarium, and use the accompanying multi-coupon to use restaurants, onboard BBQ, and stores.
After enjoying a cruise on the Pacific Ocean and arriving at Shin Moji Port, take an escorted bus to the Kanmon Straits, which connect Fukuoka and Yamagata. After the “Kanmon Tunnel Humanitarian Walk,” a walk along the seabed, visitors can enjoy a fugu kaiseki dinner at Shimonoseki Shunpanro Honten, the first restaurant officially licensed to serve fugu in 1888.
Afterwards, return to Fukuoka and head to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (4-7-1, Zaifu, Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture), a famous sightseeing spot, where you can visit the “temporary hall” that can only be seen now as Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is undergoing the first major renovation of its important cultural property “Hon-den” in 124 years.
