Tourism Expo Japan 2023 Osaka-Kansai, one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at INTEX Osaka (Suminoe-ku, Osaka City) for four days from October 26 to 29.
JATA (Japan Association of Travel Agents) and the Hawaii Tourism Authority Japan Branch held a joint press conference at the venue, and announced the expansion of JOTC’s “Now is the Time to Go Overseas” campaign, which began in April! In response to the message from the local government that “contributing to the revitalization of the local economy through travel to Hawaii will help support the recovery” following the wildfires in the western part of Maui, Hawaii in August, JATA and the Japan Branch of the Hawaii Tourism Authority will work together to further promote travel to Hawaii.
Specifically, general travelers residing in Japan who depart on a trip to Hawaii between February 1 and March 31, 2024 are invited to submit photos and comments taken during the period to a special website to win prizes.
The campaign website will go live on December 1, and the prizes are as follows Winners will be notified by late April 2024.
200 winners will be selected by lottery for goods with the campaign logo
Four (4) pairs of eight (8) round-trip economy class tickets to Honolulu (ANA, JAL, Hawaiian Airlines, Delta Air Lines)
Four (4) pairs of 3-night Honolulu accommodations (Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa, Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, Twinfin Waikiki, and Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber) will be awarded by drawing.
One pair will be selected by drawing from entries for honeymoons, weddings, and couples’ anniversary trips to Hawaii for a 5-day/3-night trip.
