Expressway Deals and Hotels Adjacent to Roadside Stations Make Driving Fun! Special Area “Drive Tourism

Posted on 2023-11-02 by Editor in Chief

Tourism Expo Japan 2023 Osaka-Kansai, one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at INTEX Osaka (Suminoe-ku, Osaka City) for four days from October 26 to 29.

The Drive Tourism corner, located in the special features area of Hall 6B, provides useful information on driving and other travel-related topics.

At the Automobile Travel Agency booth, visitors will be introduced to special expressway deals, etc. NEXCO East Japan, NEXCO Central Japan, and NEXCO West Japan are selling special expressway passes that allow visitors to use the expressways at a discount.

However, many people are unaware that these special plans are available, and the booth will provide detailed information on what plans are available and how to purchase and use them. If you are actually considering a trip by car, you can also get information on the best plan for it. In addition to this, NEXCO goods will be given away if you answer a questionnaire.

At the Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki Hotel booth, Marriott International will introduce Fairfield by Marriott, which is developing the “Trip Base Michi-no-Eki Project,” which aims to create local communities based on roadside stations. Most of the 29 locations nationwide are adjacent to Michi-no-Eki stations, and their major feature is that they specialize in accommodations so that guests can enjoy the nature, activities, and food of the area.

At the booth, visitors will be introduced to stores across Japan and given information on the features and usage of each facility. There will also be a raffle drawing for accommodation tickets and other prizes.

An unusual booth is the EXP. Journeys booth. Here, visitors can enjoy AR games using their smartphones. After playing, you will be given goodies and other gifts. You can also get information on Fujinomiya’s capsule hotel “Sleep JP Fujinomiya” and camping cars by Ukigumo Co.
