Japan Post, JR West, Osaka Terminal Building, JTB, and Japan Post Real Estate are developing “JP Tower Osaka” (3-2-2 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) in the area west of Osaka Station, including the site of the former Osaka Central Post Office, and “KITTE Osaka” commercial facilities in the building.
Prior to its scheduled completion in March 2024, the office floors will be available from November 1. In conjunction with this, a pedestrian deck connecting to JR Osaka Station via the second floor of the South Gate Building will be opened. The opening of the pedestrian deck will improve circulation in the west side of Umeda by connecting facilities around the station on the second floor above ground level.
On the southeast plaza (Sunken Garden) side of JP Tower Osaka, the walkway on the first floor will be connected to the Nishi-Umeda underground pedestrian walkway “Garden Avenue” on the basement level.
