The Tourism and City Promotion Division of the Industry Department of Hamamatsu City opened a special website, “Hamamatsu Trip to the City of Succession, a place associated with Ieyasu Tokugawa,” in conjunction with the broadcast of the historical drama “Dousuru Ieyasu” (NHK).
Hamamatsu City is associated with Ieyasu Ieyasu, who spent 17 years in the city from the age of 29 to 45. The website introduces tourist information such as “What to do: Ieyasu Hamamatsu Taiga Drama Museum,” Hamamatsu Castle, Motojo-machi Toshogu Shrine, Hamamatsu’s gourmet food, and spectacular views.
In addition, the “DOKODOMARUMARU HAMAMATSU Lodging Support Campaign” is underway, offering discounts of up to 12,000 yen on lodging at participating facilities in the city. Bookings made through designated domestic online sites will receive a discount coupon. Coupons for stays after December 1 will be distributed sequentially after 11:00 a.m. on November 13. In addition, campaign users will receive a special admission ticket at the reception desk of the “What to do: Ieyasu Hamamatsu Taiga Drama Museum”.
