Grilled Beef is a Perfect Disney Christmas Treat for Adults! A Hands-On Review of Horizon Bay Restaurant’s Special Set

Tokyo DisneySea offers a variety of special menus that are perfect for spending special moments with your loved ones. Here we would like to introduce the Horizon Bay Restaurant’s featured menu items.

A luxurious “Special Set” with grilled beef as the main dish

Tokyo DisneySea becomes even more romantic during the Christmas season. The restaurants in the park are now offering White Christmas-inspired menus that are perfect for spending a special moment with that special someone.

The “Special Set” (3,680 yen) is offered as a special “Disney Christmas” menu at Port Discovery’s Horizon Bay Restaurant.

The set menu includes grilled beef with truffle demi-glace sauce, onion soup, bread or rice, caramel chocolate tart & raspberry mousse for dessert, and a soft drink. The soft drink in the set can be changed to “Ocean Wave,” which is unique to this restaurant, for an additional 380 yen, or to alcoholic beverages for an additional charge.

The main course, grilled beef, is a tender steak served fresh off the grill. It is a large steak, but the generous amount of truffle-flavored demi-glace sauce is full of flavor, and the steak is delicious all the way through. The mashed potatoes served with the steak are also very tasty and brightly colored with Christmas spices, star-shaped carrots, and romanesco vegetables.

The “Onion Soup” is a soup filled with melted onions and topped with a generous portion of granulated, colorful cheese on a piece of bread that serves as a crouton. The onion is really plentiful, and together with the cheese, it is a satisfying meal. Also, you can choose bread or rice as your staple, but with bread, it comes with a Mickey Mouse symbol.

The “Caramel Chocolate Tart & Raspberry Mousse” set as dessert is a sweet treat shaped with two layers of mousse on tart dough. The shape of the Santa hat made of chocolate is also adorable.

The bittersweet flavor of the caramel chocolate tart and the tart raspberry-flavored mousse are both very present in this dish, and each has a distinctive flavor that is as strong as the main course and soup. Enjoy it slowly while changing the flavor with the accompanying raspberry sauce.

Tokyo DisneySea also offers a variety of special menus for a “special moment” at its restaurants. Please come and enjoy the “White Christmas Menu” elaborately prepared by each restaurant.
