Moka Kamihiraishi lights the tree with her magic wand! Studio Tour Tokyo, celebrating its first Christmas, takes you to the luxurious and romantic world of “Harry Potter”!

On the evening of November 15, Warner Bros. Studios Japan held a lighting ceremony for the “Studio Tour Tokyo Making of Harry Potter” (1-1-7 Kasuga-cho, Nerima-ku, Tokyo), marking the first Christmas season since its opening.

In addition to the unveiling of a 6-meter-high Christmas tree to be installed in the main lobby, the exterior of the building will be fantastically lit up with large round glasses and an objet d’art with Harry and Hagrid standing side by side. Visitors can enjoy a different atmosphere from the lush green daytime scenery.

On this day, actor Moka Kamihiraishi appeared as a special guest at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The tree glowed gold when Moeka waved her magic wand and called out “Lumos,” a spell to light up the darkness.

The ornate design features stars, moons, and other ornaments, and the “Studio Tour Tokyo Making of Harry Potter” logo in the center of the ornament. The ornate design also features many presents at the feet of the guests, bringing back the joyful Christmas scenes in the Great Hall of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that have appeared throughout the “Harry Potter” series of movies.

Moka, who herself is a fan of the books, said, “I first encountered Harry Potter in my elementary school library. Harry Potter was the first time in my life that I read such a thick book. She added, “I was especially excited by the moving staircases and portraits on the studio tour. It was amazing to be able to enter a movie set and feel as if I were one of the characters being filmed. I was able to immerse myself beyond the experience,” he said, expressing his love for Harry Potter.

During the photo session, snow fell as a surprise. Looking up at the romantically glowing Christmas tree, Moka expressed her excitement, saying, “It is so classic and fits the Harry Potter worldview. She encouraged visitors to “enjoy your first Christmas at the Studio Tour Tokyo”.

Christmas decorations, including a tree, and outdoor lighting will be available from November 15 to January 8, 2024. From December 1, a seasonal menu will be available at the museum’s café.
