Atokawa Ocean Resort (989-1, Naramoto Aza Atokawa, Higashi Izu-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture) is offering an accommodation plan with a “Kurone Iwa Bath” bathing ticket, available only through its official website.

The hotel, which has its own hot spring source in Izu-Atagawa, is located on the oceanfront with a view of the ocean from all guest rooms. The plan includes a 10-minute drive from the hotel to the famous Kurone Iwa Bath (Kitagawa Onsen, Higashi Izu-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture), which is famous as an open-air bath with a spectacular view of the lapping of the waves.

For dinner, we offer either an all-you-can-eat “Kaisen Japanese/Western buffet” featuring dishes made from Izu ingredients, grilled seafood skewers, turban shells, roast beef, etc., or a “course dinner” featuring specialties such as lobsters and golden threadfin bream. Each includes a one-drink service for the number of guests.

Also, until December 22, the restaurant is running a limited time offer of “All-you-can-eat 5 kinds of tuna” for an extra 1,100 yen per person, which allows you to refill your plate with fresh sashimi as many times as you like.

Breakfast is served at a restaurant overlooking the ocean, offering a Japanese/Western buffet of about 70 dishes. The menu includes grilled local fish, “Wasabi Meshi,” a local delicacy topped with Shizuoka-grown wasabi and dried bonito flakes, fried plump horse mackerel served with tartar sauce with the texture of “Nanao Takuan,” and sweets made with specialty New Summer oranges.

All 75 guest rooms are over 39m2 in size, and rooms with balconies allow guests to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves of the Pacific Ocean along with the view of Izu Oshima Island and the Izu Islands. A wide range of room types are available, from twin rooms to family-type Japanese/Western-style rooms, depending on the number of guests.

In addition, the plan offers a 5% discount on all treatments at the Ayurveda Spa in the hotel. The price is 18,090 yen per person per night (based on double occupancy), including a ticket to the Kurone Rock Bath and half board with a variety of Izu’s bounty.
