RV Parks in Gunma, Japan: A Visit to a Forest Campground RV Park in Akagi, Gunma, which also has a glamping dome. New and well-equipped, yet inexpensive RV Park Akagi Tokiwagi-no-Mori Campsite

Introduction to sites other than the RV Park From here, we will introduce sites other than the RV Park. In Tokiwagi Forest Campground, you can park your car at any of the sites, so if the RV park is full, you can stay at a tent site (fees start at 6,000 yen). Since these are tent sites, it is naturally possible to pitch a tent, so if you are used to staying at RV campgrounds or in your car, it might be a good idea to change things up and try camping in a tent. Even if you don’t have a tent, Tokiwagi no Mori Campground has rental tents available. Each site is designed to be spacious for family camping, but the shape of each site is different, so no matter how many times you come, you will find it interesting to think about how to arrange your site. Incidentally, the reason for the different shapes of the sites is that the placement of the trees is important. This is a situation unique to a forest campground. The other is a glamping site, with rates starting at 18,000 yen for two adults. The maximum number of people is 5, with each additional adult costing 3,000 yen and each additional child 2,000 yen. The inside of the dome, which is insulated, is spacious enough and has a large window with a view of a cedar forest. There is an air conditioner, refrigerator, and plenty of electrical outlets, so even with a full capacity, there is no need to worry about charging your phone. There is a tarp, table, and chairs on the deck, which can also be used, and there is parking space for one car at the site. Toilets and showers are shared, but the price seems low considering the facilities. Family use might be a good idea, with the family staying at the glamping site and the father enjoying some alone time in an RV campsite or tent. The above is an introduction to Tokiwagi Forest Campground. As you can see from the above description, although the campground has only just opened, it is quite popular and reservations are hard to come by on weekends. However, as the campground is geared toward families, it is open on weekdays when children are not on vacation. When we visited on a weekday, there was only one other couple using the facility. It is a luxury to be able to use this facility without many people around, so if you can get a weekday off, I recommend using it on a weekday.
