Shunkado will sell “Eel Pie V.S.O.P. Mini” for a limited time starting December 1. 6 pieces per bag for 833 yen.

According to the results of the company’s survey, the awareness of “Eel Pie,” Hamamatsu’s famous confectionery, was very high at about 89%, while the awareness of the series product “Eel Pie V.S.O.P.” was only about 17%. Therefore, in hopes of making its appeal more widely known, a mini-size version will be released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the birth of Eel Pie V.S.O.P.

V.S.O.P. is a grading system based on the degree of maturity of the brandy, meaning “a very fine, mature brandy with a beautiful color.

While the dough is usually made by mixing water, this product is made with cream, milk, macadamia nuts, and “secret sauce” with brandy as the finishing touch, which gives it a more premium taste.

Sold at seven directly managed stores (Main Store/Sanariko Park Town Store/SATO Store/SWEETS BANK/Eel Pie Factory/nicoe/Entetsu Department Store SHOP Shunkado) and at eel pie stores in the Tokai region. Eel pies are also available in the Tokyo metropolitan area, where they are not normally sold. The pie will be on sale in advance at the “Eki Tabi Market” outside the ticket gates of JR Omiya Station from November 20, 2012.

In addition, as part of its 30th anniversary project, the company is conducting a “Call for Episodic Talks” campaign! Campaign” will be held as part of the 30th anniversary project. The ambassador is the comedy duo Nishikigoi. The episode that wins the grand prize will be aired as an official commercial featuring Nishikigoi.
