Aman Kyoto (1 Ohkitayama Washimine-cho, Kita-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) will offer “The Art of Strawberry,” a parfait featuring two types of strawberries, at its all-day dining restaurant, The Living Pavilion by Aman. It will be offered from January 9 to April 30, 2024.
Seasonal desserts created by Executive Pastry Chef Hiroyuki Matsuo. This year’s dessert uses an abundance of sweet and subtly pink tinged snowflakes and amaou, which has a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, to create a spring-like appearance.
The fiyantine and strawberry-chocolate combination is topped with a monaka lid, two types of fresh strawberries, matcha tuile leaves inspired by the “forest garden” on the hotel grounds, white chocolate cream, and other ingredients.
The glass is filled with home-made ice cream made from Kamigamo strawberries, Miyama milk gelato and panna cotta, amazake rice flour granola, and rosé champagne jelly at the bottom of the glass, all of which add layers of Kyoto’s essence and a delightful texture.
Aman Kyoto original organic coffee, tea or herb tea, and a souvenir “Strawberry Pound Cake” are included, priced at 12,000 yen.
Reservations are required and can be made by phone (075-496-1335) or through the official website.
