Mitsui Fudosan will open Mitsui Shopping Park LaLa Terrace TOKYO- BAY (2-2-1, Wakamatsu, Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture), a lifestyle-type commercial facility, on November 29.
The two-story structure directly connected to JR Minami-Funabashi Station houses a total of 36 stores, mainly in the lifestyle convenience category. Notable stores include “Café Amazon,” Thailand’s largest coffee chain, which will make its first appearance in the Kanto area; “Yakiniku Dining Yamato,” the first directly operated butcher store in a shopping center; and “Y’s Mart,” a fresh food supermarket.
In addition, a total of five restaurants will open in the food court, which has approximately 320 seats: Yamatotei, a new type of restaurant specializing in coarsely ground hamburgers; JOTO CURRY, the first curry restaurant in Chiba Prefecture; Dotonbori Kanza, a ramen shop; Hanbizen, a healthy Korean restaurant; and Mister Donut.
Visitors can watch games of the local professional basketball team, the Chiba Jets, on the digital signage in the food court, and on fine days, they can purchase takeout menus and eat and drink on the outdoor terrace.
In addition, a large-scale plaza, “MIXI FUN PARK (LaLa terrace Green Park),” has been established on the east side of the site. This open space of approximately 5,000 m2, which is rare in front of a station, is equipped with a playground and dog run for families to enjoy.
In the future, various events will be held, such as food festivals and public viewing of sports events in cooperation with the local community. It will also serve as a temporary evacuation site, with two manhole toilets available for use in the event of a disaster.
In addition, SC’s first and newest café-bar, a collaboration between the amusement facility GiGO and the Chiba Jets, is now open. In addition to selling Chiba Jets merchandise, the bar features crane games, darts, a print sticker machine, and 192 capsule toys.
Visitors can also enjoy watching the Chiba Jets game while tasting the original “Ohin Food” with special offers at the restaurant.
Other tenants include OWNDAYS, Kumazawa Bookstore, Daiso, and Matsumotokiyoshi for fashion, sundries, and daily necessities, and Funabashi Tourism Association, clinics, tutoring schools, OB HOUSE, ABC Nail, ANYTIME FITNESS, and Re.Ra.Ku for services for daily use. Ku.
