JR East Japan Trading started to accept complete orders for three “Ana-Digi Temp” models from Citizen Watch’s watch brand “Citizen Collection” to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the opening of JR Ueno Station at “TRAINIART JRE MALL”.
JR Ueno Station opened on July 28, 1883, and this year marks its 140th anniversary. Starting with the first commercial operation between Ueno and Kumagaya, it has been called the “Northern Gateway” and used by many people as a transportation hub connecting Tokyo and Tohoku. This time, as the second product of Railroad x Anadigitemps, a product modeled after the train was planned.
The lineup consists of three trains: the sleeper express train Series 24-25 (Hokutosei), known as the Blue Train and retired in 2015; the sleeper express train Series E26 (Cassiopeia) with its luxurious interior; and the bonnet-type Series 485 (Limited Express Hitachi) that has been popular for about a quarter century since the Japan National Railway era.
The distinctive colors and motifs of each are incorporated into the “analog-digital temps,” a mechanical design that combines analog and digital. The headmark of each vehicle is also engraved on the back cover.
The product is on display at the “Nomono Ueno Store” in Ueno Station, as well as at the “TRAINIART TOKYO Grandsta Store” and the “Museum Shop TRAINIART Railway Museum Store.
