The performance schedule for the new musical “Disney Winnie the Pooh,” which will land in Japan in April 2024, has been released. The show will be performed in 10 areas throughout Japan, including Tokyo, Aichi, Chiba, Osaka, Saitama, Miyagi, Kanagawa, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Shizuoka, over a period of about three months.
This production is based on the classic Disney animated feature film and the original story by A.A. Milne, and is set in a 100-acre forest with life-size puppets controlled by the actors. In this performance, Japanese cast members will manipulate the puppets and sing in the show.
Tickets go on sale February 24 at 10:00. All seats are reserved and there are three types of seats available. The “Very Important Bear Seat” (9,500 yen), called the “VIB Seat,” includes the privilege of having a commemorative photo taken with Pooh and his friends on stage after the show. Other types of seats are “S Seats” (5,500 yen) and “A Seats” (3,500 yen). Performance times will be announced when tickets go on sale.
