Tokyu Corporation opened seven stores in the “New Tsunashima Square” complex (1-9-10, Tsunashima Higashi, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on December 6.
The 29-story building with two basement levels is directly connected to Shin-Tsunashima Station on the Shin-Yokohama Line. Commercial, residential, and utility facilities are integrated. The newly opened stores include Tokyu Store, Tully’s Coffee, and Ippudo, which occupy the first and second floors.
The clinic mall and dispensing pharmacy on the 2nd and 3rd floors will open sequentially from January 2024, and Mizuki Hall, a cultural center for Yokohama City’s Kohoku Ward residents on the 4th and 5th floors, is scheduled to open on March 24, 2024. In addition, the 252-unit condominium tower “Dresset Tower Shin Tsunashima” will also be housed in the building.
In addition, the Tsunashima-Higashi Line will open on December 22 at the aboveground portion of New Tsunashima Station, and a bus stop will open on December 23. As a result, about half of the buses (about 800 buses/day) to/from Tsunashima Station are scheduled to change to New Tsunashima Station. This will alleviate congestion on surrounding roads, improve the timeliness of bus service, and make transfers at the new Tsunashima Station more convenient.
