Tokyu Corporation to conduct demonstration experiments using credit card touch functions and QR codes at all stations on the Toyoko and Meguro Lines

Tokyu Corporation has been conducting a verification experiment on its Denentoshi Line using the credit card touch function and QR codes, and will begin on December 12 at all stations on the Toyoko and Meguro Lines, and at some stations on the Tokyu Shin-Yokohama, Oimachi, Ikegami, and Tokyu Tamagawa Lines.

The installation will be completed at all stations on the Oimachi, Ikegami, and Tokyu Tamagawa lines by the end of December, and all stations on the Kodomonokuni line will be equipped with ticket checkers by the end of January 2024. Tokyu Line stations.

Tickets are purchased before boarding using a credit card at the Q SKIP digital ticket service sales website. When entering or exiting the ticket gate, passengers can smoothly use the ticket gate without going through a ticket vending machine or a ticket counter by holding a credit card that supports the touch function or a QR code displayed on a smartphone over the reader of the applicable ticket gate.

In addition, from December 12, the Tokyu Line One-Day Pass, which allows unlimited rides on all Tokyu Lines for one day, the Tokyu Line Triangle Pass, which allows unlimited rides in the area from Shibuya to Jiyugaoka to Futagotamagawa, and the Ikegami Line and Tokyu Tamagawa Line One-Day Pass, which allows unlimited rides on the Ikegami Line and Tokyu Tamagawa Line for one day, will also be available. Also available as digital tickets. Each product will be sold at a Q SKIP limited price, making it more economical than purchasing a ticket at the station.

In addition, a “Q SKIP All Line Area Expansion Commemorative Campaign” will be held. Limited to first-time buyers on the sales website, 50% of the total amount of purchases made between December 12 and January 14, 2024, will be refunded. The maximum amount of cash back is 2,000 yen, and only purchases made with credit cards issued by Tokyu Card are eligible for the campaign.
