Tobu Railway will begin operating the “Strawberry Spacia” on December 24 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Tochigi Prefecture. On December 24, the first day of operation, an unveiling tour, departure ceremony, and commemorative marché will be held at Tobu Nikko Station.
The “Strawberry Spacia” is an express train, Series 100 Spacia, colored in red and pink to resemble strawberries. All private rooms and the 15th row of seats in car No. 2 and No. 5 are decorated with strawberries. The emblem commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Tochigi Prefecture will be displayed on the sides of Cars 1 and 6 (until around June 2024).
