Booking.com Releases Travel Trend Predictions for 2024. Travel for chance discoveries, longing and life tips.

On December 12, Booking.com Japan held a press conference to announce its forecast of travel trends for 2024 and its new travel concept, “Travel is LIFE-This is Me! According to Tomomi Ohata, Director of Public Relations at Booking.com Japan, the trend predictions for 2023 made a year ago tended to have a strong connotation of “extraordinary” and “escaping from reality. The 2024 forecast, however, is not only a means of escaping from daily life, but also an extension of the question of how to envision the best life for each individual in the future. However, the 2024 forecast shows a shift in the image of “travel” as not only a way to escape from daily life, but also as an extension of the question, “How do I envision my best life in the future? The following are seven predictions for travel trends in 2024, based on a survey of approximately 28,000 travelers in 33 countries and regions, combined with Booking.com’s own data and findings.
