The Blue Impulse, an acrobatic team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, will perform a display flight at an event commemorating the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train on March 16, 2024. The Air Self-Defense Force schedule states that the display flights will take place in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture.

Fukui Prefecture has already announced that the Blue Impulse will fly over the four new Shinkansen stations (Ashihara Onsen, Fukui, Echizen Takefu, and Tsuruga) in the prefecture. The Blue Impulse will fly over Fukui Station, where it will perform a display of hearts related to the fact that Fukui Prefecture has the highest happiness level in Japan, as well as a cherry blossom-related performance in connection with the Fukui Sakura Marathon. The details of the flight route will be announced in the future.

Ishikawa Prefecture and Komatsu City have not released details as of December 19.
