NEXCO Central Japan Tsu Expressway Office and Ise Area Tourist Traffic Countermeasures Council will implement exit blockades at interchanges near Ise Jingu Shrine to reduce congestion during the year-end and New Year holidays. Visitors are encouraged to use shuttle buses to visit the shrine.
The Ise Expressway will be closed at the Ise West IC (off-ramp) and Ise IC (on-ramp), and especially from 9:00 to 16:00 on January 1-4 and 7, the council will operate a shuttle bus service for visitors to the shrine from the Asakuma-Higashi IC of the Ise-Futami Toba Line to the Ise Jingu Shrine area.
On the applicable day, the area around the Mie Prefectural Sun Arena (4383-4, Kamoya, Asakuma-cho, Ise City, Mie Prefecture) will be opened as a temporary parking lot, and a bus will run to and from the approach to the Geku Shrine. The bus fare is free, but a parking arrangement fee of 1,000 yen per car is required.
The Ise IC exit on the uphill route is closed in the direction of the Inner Shrine, but northbound traffic is allowed. Please refer to the separate chart for a detailed exit image.
