JR West Group and J-Contents have started distributing “SODATETSU” (Android/iOS version), a new railroad training game application.

A user who is reincarnated into the “Railverse,” an alternate world, is selected as a “Sodatest” who collects and raises mysterious miniature railroad “sodatests,” and together with legendary sodatest Iku Arahashi and his friends, competes in various “railroad contests” to become a master sodatest. The story.

The first “Sodatezu” miniature railroads will feature more than 200 different train motifs from West Japan Railway Company (JR West). Sodatetsu grows uniquely depending on how users raise it, and new trains can be created through “railroad synthesis.

In addition, players will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, such as turning the sodatetsu they have raised into NFTs and trading them on the in-app market (age restrictions apply, implementation scheduled for February 2024), and meeting a variety of vehicles and characters that will be introduced in the future. The game is basically free to play (with in-app purchases).

To celebrate this release, all new registrations will receive 100 “IC”, an in-game currency that can be used to summon and train Sodatezu, and all modification items that can be used in the maintenance of Sodatezu. In addition, “3 ICs” will be distributed as a login bonus for 30 days.

In addition, various campaigns will be offered, including three types of “GPS Digital Stamp Rally” that link the game world with real stations, and a free summon of up to 110 summons by completing story missions.

In addition, a campaign will be held on the official X (@SODA_TETSU) for posting a screenshot of a gameplay screen to win a “Sekitan” Dodeca Cushion and a Dr. Yellow Cushion (not for sale) for three winners each in a drawing until January 26, 2024. The campaign will run until January 26, 2024.

An original movie introducing the story of Sodatetsu in anime form is also available on the official YouTube page.
