Live camera feeds are available on the official website so that visitors can check on the temple grounds from home to see how crowded it is. In addition, some awards and New Year’s prayers can be applied for online.
Due to anticipated congestion from New Year’s Eve through the first three days of March, traffic regulations will be enforced in the central area of Kamakura City (including the area around Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine). For details, please check the detour routes published by Kanagawa Prefectural Police and other authorities.
