On December 28, Ikaros Shuppan released the February 2024 issue of Monthly Airline, an A4-size, 164-page book priced at 1,815 yen.
The special feature is “The World of the Passenger Aircraft Cockpit,” which looks at the cockpit from the pilot’s point of view.
The space and interface for operating high-performance machines are explained in the pilots’ own words, and the roles of each part explained by current airline pilots, the different piloting philosophies of each manufacturer and era, and the fan-favorite flight simulators are all introduced from a variety of perspectives. A special supplement is the “Cockpit Calendar 2024,” which is linked to the special feature.
The volume opens with a JAL A350-1000 delivery report, including a look at the final JAL 777-200ER flight and a detailed description of the A321P2F refurbished aircraft, which also realized a joint Yamato x JAL x Spring Japan interview.
