JICA SDGs Bonds” (78th JICA Bonds) for Retail Investors: Tentative Prices Set: Reservations to be Accepted on January 9 | News & Media

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) today announced the tentative pricing of its “JICA SDGs Bonds” (78th JICA Bonds) for retail investors, as follows

The “JICA SDGs Bonds” are bonds for individuals whose funds will be used for JICA’s projects to help solve social issues in developing countries in order to achieve the SDGs. As an option for international cooperation that individuals can take, each individual’s action through investment in the Sustainability Bonds (Note 1) will be a power to change the world.

(Note 1) Sustainability bonds are bonds issued to finance projects that contribute to solving social and environmental issues, and are eligible for SDGs and ESG investments.

Outline of “JICA SDGs Bonds” (Japan International Cooperation Agency Bond No. 78) for Retail Investors

■Issuance amount (planned): 8 billion yen

■ Term: 5 years (December 20, 2028)

Tentative interest rate: 0.120% to 0.520% per annum (Interest rate will be determined on January 12 (Fri.) (Note 2))

Reservation Period: Tuesday, January 9 – Thursday, January 11

(The offering is scheduled to be conducted from January 15 (Mon.) to February 1 (Thu.) after the terms and conditions of the issuance are determined on January 12 (Fri.).

Application unit: 10,000 yen

Issue price: 100 yen per 100 yen par value

■ Collateral: General collateral

■Term: 5 years (December 20, 2028) ■Tentative interest rate: 0.120% to 0.520% per annum (interest rate to be determined on January 12 (Friday) (Note 2)) ■Reservation period: January 9 (Tuesday) to January 11 (Thursday) (The offering will be made from January 15 (Monday) to February 1 (Thursday), after the terms of issuance are determined on January 12 (Friday). ■Subscription unit: 10,000 yen ■Issue price: 100 yen per par value of 100 yen ■Collateral: general collateral ■Securities companies: (Joint lead managers) Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities (Administrative lead manager), SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. Ltd., Juroku TT Securities Co., Ltd., Tochigin TT Securities Co. Other: Sustainability Bonds are scheduled to be issued as follows. (Note 2) There is a possibility that the issue price will be outside the range of the provisional terms.

(Note 3) Rakuten Securities, Inc. will not accept reservations for the purchase of JICA SDGs Bonds from January 9 (Tue.) to January 12 (Fri.). Please apply for purchase at Rakuten Securities, Inc. between January 15 (Mon.) and February 1 (Thu.).
