Posted on 2024-01-092024-01-11 by Editor in Chief

2024 is an important year for sustainable growth into the future

Value judgments are “safety and security,” “customer focus,” and “clean profit.

Seibu Holdings Co.

President and Representative Director

Takashi Goto

We wish you a very Happy New Year!

First of all, on New Year’s Day, a major earthquake hit the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture, and on the following day, the 2nd, a terrible accident occurred at Haneda Airport when an airplane collided with a plane. I would like to express my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and the accident, and to offer my heartfelt sympathy to the victims.

(1) Resilience and Sustainability

Resilience is the ability to withstand and withstand various crises, such as pandemics, economic and financial crises, and so on, as in the case of the Corona disaster. We are convinced that the Group’s resilience has increased as a result of the management reforms implemented in the wake of the Corona disaster. The year 2024 will be the year in which the results of our speedy and decisive management reforms will steadily emerge. The core of the new medium- to long-term strategy and next management plan (FY2024-FY2026) to be announced in May of this year will be the real estate business. We will accelerate the start of real estate turnover-type business and redevelopment in city centers and resorts. We will also implement the Group’s human resources strategy in tandem with the “Make people who work, into people who smile. We will also further improve engagement and develop professional human resources in line with the Group’s human resources strategy of “Making Workers Smile. Taking on the challenges of projects in each of the Group’s businesses with a sense of speed will lead to sustainable growth, or in other words, sustainability, for the future.

(2) Seibu Group’s value judgments: “safety and security,” “customer-oriented,” and “clean profit

The Group’s value judgment is “safety and security” first and foremost. Enhancing resilience begins with placing the highest priority on safety and security. The second is to always think and act from the customer’s perspective. Third, to ensure sustainability, the company must “make a clean profit. We will steadily work on “safety and security,” “customer-oriented,” and “clean profits” to ensure resilience and sustainability.
