Hoshino Resort has begun accepting reservations for lodging at OMO5 Tokyo Gotanda by Hoshino Resort (8-4-13 Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), which will open on April 11.
It is located on the upper floors (14-20F) of the Gotanda JP Building, which consists of offices and commercial facilities, about a 6-minute walk from Gotanda Station. Room rates start at 28,000 yen per room per night.
The concept is “a paradise of night views and treats. The rooms use lighting and fabrics inspired by the bustling restaurant scene, and there are 188 rooms of 8 types, including Deluxe Rooms (for 4 persons) and OMO House (for 6 persons) with kitchens.
The “OMO Base,” a public space on the 14th floor of the hotel, will feature a “hanging garden” surrounded by a water feature for park-like relaxation, and a “dog garden” directly accessible from guest rooms where you can stay with your dog.
The “Cafe & Bar” on the same floor is available from breakfast to night time. For breakfast, 10 kinds of rice balls supervised by Sumidaya, a rice specialty store, and miso soup using miso from Sakamoto Shoten, a miso specialty store that has had a store in Gotanda since 1922, are served.
At other times, guests can enjoy original alcoholic drinks, sweets, and a “snack plate” arranged with fried and grilled chicken from Shinanoya, a chicken specialty restaurant in Gotanda.
In addition, OMO plans to provide “Go-KINJO,” a service unique to the OMO brand, with “neighborhood activities” and “neighborhood maps,” content useful for walking the streets around the hotel.
