On January 14, JAL unveiled the second A350-1000 (registration code: JA02WJ), its new international aircraft, at Haneda Airport.
The aircraft departed from Toulouse, France, where Airbus headquarters is located, on December 13, and arrived at Haneda at around 10:54 a.m. on December 14. This is the second JAL A350-1000 following the first one that arrived in Japan on December 15.
The A350-1000 is a new aircraft to be introduced on the Haneda-New York route (JL006/JL005) and will enter service on January 24, 2024. The interior of the aircraft will be designed with traditional Japanese beauty in mind, following in the footsteps of the A350-900 aircraft already in service on domestic routes and the Boeing 787-8 aircraft designed for domestic routes. All classes of seats have been redesigned, with a total of 239 seats, including 6 first class seats, 54 business class seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 155 economy seats.
